Bob Render is the president and CEO of Lakeside 360 Partners, a sustainability and recycling consulting firm that develops circular strategies and programs for companies to reduce their carbon impact. This includes incorporating recycled and renewable content in products, feed stock development and preprocessing strategy for advanced recycling, and measuring carbon impacts.
Bob was the Business Development Manager for Sustainability for Ravago, a global plastics distributor and recycler for over 8 years. Bob assisted customers, collaborating to set up closed loop recycling programs to re-use their own scrap and to reach their sustainability goals and those goals of their customers. He also has led compliance teams to earn Ravago’s ISCC Plus and Eco Vadis certifications.
Bob was president of Maine Plastics, a post-industrial plastics recycler from 1994 to 2010 and in 2006 created A Greener Solution, a sustainability consulting and management company which was sold to Casella Resource Solutions in 2013. A Greener Solution designed and implemented sustainability programs in over 200 plants and managed over 1 billion pounds of by-products.
Bob was the Chair of the Plastics Industry Association Recycling Committee and is a former national board member. He serves on the advisory board of REMADE, is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, serves on the Executive Committee of HPRC (Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council). He is a Senior Sustainability Advisor for Ravinia Capital. He serves on his local community sustainability advisory commission in Skokie, Illinois
Bob was named a Plastics Trailblazer by Recycling Today in 2018, Notable Leader in Sustainability by Plastics News in 2023 and Crain’s Chicago Business in 2024.
